Complex ideas, made human
I teach brilliant doctors with no coding background to use AI for work that was impossible only a few years ago.
AI Summer Residency with Rick Rubin · Tuscany
Hi, I’m Dalmo. I’m an AI-native teacher, builder, poet, and musician. My gift is helping brilliant, creative people turn intimidating tools into instruments for love, art, and joy.
My application to be Rick Rubin’s AI Sensei and creative technology partner for a month in Tuscany.

Why me
The most interesting part of this residency is not installing tools. It is discovering what becomes possible when legendary creative taste meets the ability to build with AI.
That is the work I already love: making complex systems feel clear, playful, and useful enough that a curious person can start creating with them immediately.
Teacher
I teach brilliant doctors with no coding background to use AI for work that was impossible only a few years ago.
Builder
I use AI to move quickly from imagination to finished songs, games, books, art pieces, websites, and practical tools.
Artist
I am a poet and songwriter. I care about AI because it expands who gets to create, express, and share what matters.
Hi, I'm Dalmo. I'm an AI-native teacher, builder, poet, and musician.
My gift is helping brilliant, creative people turn intimidating tools into instruments for love, art, and joy.
I'm a teacher at heart. I'm always learning something new.
But what's most rewarding to me is translating what I know in a way that lands with people.
Professionally, I work at an AI startup helping doctors use clinical data to provide better patient care. Half of my world is very technical. It's doing data tuning, prompt engineering, and keeping up with the latest LLMs.
But the other half is human. It's teaching these brilliant doctors who have no coding background to do things that were impossible to do just a few years ago.
Creatively, AI has helped me quickly go from idea to finished product with songs, games, books, spiritual practices, art pieces, websites, you name it.
For example, I'm a huge fan of this thing called integral theory. I wish everybody knew about it.
And I also know that people learn best when they're having fun.
So, I used AI to build, publish, and sell a video game that teaches the core fundamentals of a theory.
Last summer, my wife and I went to Italy for over a month for our honeymoon, and we really wanted to stay off the grid.
And at the same time, we wanted people back home to keep tabs on us.
So, I vibe-coded a custom app for all of them to see our photos and know exactly where we were.
And that's on top of building a phone agent that automatically made over 20 dinner reservations.
I'm also a poet and songwriter, even though I really don't have that much musical ability.
AI has allowed me to turn my love lyrics for my wife into real songs we can enjoy. And I taught her to do the same.
And now I have dozens and dozens of albums on Spotify. Even though the quality isn't as great as Rick Rubin's classics, it's at least allowing me to share my ideas and my lyrics with people around the world. And to me, that's a huge win.
All this stuff lights me up because AI supercharges creative work.
It can be deeply complex and getting started isn't always easy for everyone. But I love finding ways to clear those barriers so more and more people can share in this excitement.
I'm eager to see how you will use AI to unlock your dreams and make your ideas come to life.
